On Friday I was informed that I've been laid off. I'm surprised that I'm not a bit more disappointed, but the fact is.. I'm not.
It was no big surprise given the direction the company is going in and what I do for a living. I'm the $100k cherry on top of a really shitty sundae. haha! That was a good one!
I'm in a pretty good situation. The market is better than it was a few years ago, my contacts are diversified and our bills are still in good shape.
There is something to be said for having a paycheque tho.
